Three years have come and gone. They would have anyway. The days, weeks and months pass by on our calendar. The question is, what do we have to show for it? Have you ever stopped to think about it? That is why I love to recognize milestones, birthdays, holidays etc. These moments punctuate our lives for a reason. They give us a chance to take stock and see where we have come, and please God, where we have yet to go AND grow! Much has happened in my life during these three years. Some good, some bad. But today, I am going to highlight an area where I have had an influence and that is with this little old blog called Yankee Doodle Paddy! Continue reading
I just love vegetables! I had to put that out there, and it will make sense in a minute. But what I love most is my weekly homage to the female chefs in the culinary world. Wednesday is more than a hump day to mark the slide towards the weekend. For me it is the focal point of the week. I get so much joy honoring a gorgeous gourmet gal by recreating one of her recipes live on Snapchat (username blissbakery). But today’s episode, number 97 if you are counting, is especially dear to me because of the incredible chef Nyesha Arrington!
I don’t know about you, but I have noticed the days are getting shorter. It hit me this morning as I was out the door before 5:45 am to catch the train to work. It was much darker. It is Wednesday and you know it’s my favorite day of the week! I get to shower another fabulous female foodie with LOVE and get to try one of her recipes! My 96th Woman Crush Wednesday is the awesome Anita Lo! Continue reading

Love, inspiration and a fabulous recipe, just a few things to be excited about. Especially when today’s honoree is the incredible Carla Hall! A chef after my own heart, as she too thinks the secret ingredient in every dish is LOVE! Continue reading
While I am nearing the 3rd birthday of this blog Yankee Doodle Paddy, I realize that I have quite a few stories in the “draft” folder waiting to be published. Today’s story is one of them. WCW oh how I’ve missed you! It is great to be back after a bit of a break, to honor Woman Crush Wednesday recipient #94! Today’s fabulous female chef is the amazing Amanda Cohen of the famous Dirt Candy in New York City. This groundbreaking restaurant has set the bar for innovative and delicious veggie food! With scorching temperatures in London this week, I am looking forward to a quick, healthy recipe that doesn’t require turning on my oven! HELP Amanda!
We’ve all heard it before: “I’m too old to do this” or “You’re too old for that” or “We shouldn’t do it ‘cuz we are too old”. What is your take? Do you think being too old is an excuse for things? And what age is too old? Well I asked this question to my Snapfam commUNITY and got an overwhelming response. Continue reading
