I’m not sure about you, but we are having lovely warm weather here in London. Which means I am craving some light and healthy salads! And today’s Woman Crush Wednesday honoree chef Lynda Booth is going to save the day. Especially since it is a quick and easy recipe for her Grated Carrot and Beetroot Salad. Because if you’re like me, some weekdays are hectic! With work and errands it leaves little time to get a meal on the table. So paired with a nice piece of fish, I am counting on this salad to be a 100 yard dash dinner winner!
Hello again and thanks for coming back for another episode of Woman Crush Wednesday. The best day of the week in my book! Because another fabulous female foodie gets the love and we get a new recipe! I am so excited to share today’s honoree with you. Hubby and I watched Shelina Permalloo win Master Chef U.K. in 2012. We were still living in Dublin back then. Who knew we’d be living in the U.K. now ourselves! Hopefully one day soon I can go to her restaurant Lakaz Maman in Southhampton for a Foodie Fieldtrip Friday! But first, I am going to recreate one of Shelina’s recipes on my Snapchat (username blissbakery) so come watch, or just continue reading for pics and more about this gorgeous gourmet gal! As I was preparing for this week’s episode of Woman Crush Wednesday, Hubby reminded me that it was time for a savory dish. Not always, but traditionally I would alternate one week sweet and another savory. However, I tend to error on the side of sweets, cuz I roll like that! So as not to have three weeks in a row of treats, I chose a treat of a recipe by the amazing Ping Coombes. WCW honoree #89 has a wealth of recipes to choose from, but this savory “Asian Bologneses” as she has nicknamed it, sounds delicious by the list of ingredients! But I am not surprised, as Ping Coombes is a winner of Master Chef UK and a cookery book author!
Today’s Woman Crush Wednesday needs no introduction to anyone who is privy to the foodie scene in London. Angela Harnett is a giant in the culinary world here in the Big Smoke. She worked her way up through the most prestigious kitchens and under heavyweights such as Gordon Ramsey and Marcus Wareing. But it would appear her greatest culinary inspiration came from closer to home.
Long time no cook my friends! I know, between traveling in the USA, the beginning of Lent, and hosting the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE, I haven’t been on to share a recipe in a while. However today all that is about to change. My fav day of the week on the blog and my fav Snapchat episode will collide once again for a Woman Crush Wednesday installment! I will do a live cooking tutorial on Snapchat (username blissbakery) and share a LOVE story for a fabulous female chef! Today’s lucky lady and the 83rd chef to get this honor is Prue Leith!
Today is the 81st episode of Woman Crush Wednesday and you might recognize the honoree. Londoner Sally Butcher is not only well known for her fabulous cookery books, but also her amazing shop in Peckham called Persepolis and the darling cafe that adjoins it. In fact, if you watch my Foodie Fieldtrip Friday segment on my Snapchat (username blissbakery) you won’t be surprised that I have chosen Sally as my WCW. Just two weeks ago I visited and feasted on some of her amazing Persian food. And I purchased a key ingredient for today’s awesome cooking tutorial. Continue reading
I know we are all busy bees with only a couple more sleeps until Chrimbo (as it is called over here in London). So this will be a quick and easy blog post as a go to guide of what you can make for breakfast and brunch over the holiday period. You may already know this about me but Sunday brunch is literally my favorite meal of the week! While it isn’t always acceptable to eat a hearty and indulgent brunch every day, over the next week it is almost mandatory! On this list you will find sweet and savory dishes. There are some healthy options here too. So I’ll categorize it like Santa would, a NAUGHTY and NICE list! So sit back, relax, and drool over some some great brunch ideas…. Continue reading
