Long time no cook my friends! I know, between traveling in the USA, the beginning of Lent, and hosting the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE, I haven’t been on to share a recipe in a while. Today’s Woman Crush Wednesday is coming to you from the U.S.A. I’m here visiting family and enjoying a playcation with my granddaughters. Being back in the country of my birth makes it a perfect time to honor Christina Tosi. Not only is she the 82nd WCW recipient but she is also the creator and chef of Milk Bar. This world famous bakery headquartered in NYC has 8 locations now. With two cookbooks under her belt, her recipes are very American in their roots. But Christina is super innovative in her approach to being a pastry chef. She is a fabulous role model for women in the culinary world and I am so excited to honor her today and re-create one of her recipes here and live on Snapchat. Londoner Sally Butcher is not only well known for her fabulous cookery books, but also her amazing shop in Peckham called Persepolis and the darling cafe that adjoins it. Hello from Havana! Sorry to have to miss an opportunity for another Woman Crush Wednesday cooking tutorial. However, Hubby is a juror at a film festival here in Cuba. Specifically the Festival International Del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano. We were lucky to have been in Venice, Italy for the film festival there this summer, which you can read about here. Since I am sicker than a dog today, I am going to have to miss my fav Woman Crush Wednesday series. Which makes me sad as a bird with no wings! But since I can’t breathe or swallow (two things I kind of need to be able to do for a cooking tutorial) I figured I’d better take a pass this week. Stella (who is my dog and who IS healthy) is delighted! Since she hates Wednesdays and all the loud music and bad singing, she is happy as a clam right now!
