Guest Blogger Month III: Post #2

One of my favorite things about this Guest Blogger Series, is learning how LOVE manifests itself in everyone’s lives. Since we are all so unique, it makes sense that our experiences would be as well. However, in reading the stories, I also like to find what elements I relate to and what the commonalities are. I am not surprised that today’s LOVE Story touches my heart because the amazing Amy is one of my favorite people in the world. We met through Snapchat and while Amy participates in my #tellthetruththursday and I join in on her #whatsgoodwednesday hashtag days, it is our own personal conversations that we cherish most. And when you read her story you will see why I think her positivity is infectious! Continue reading

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #30

Guest Blogger Post #30 is the last in what has been a most amazing Month of LOVE series. I think Yankee Doodle Paddy is still humming from all the phenomenal and varied love stories.  Tomorrow I will post a debrief of this whole experience and include links to all the love stories (and the music I used in the Snapchat reveals) on one page.  However right now it is our last (but not least) author’s turn.   Eimear is truly one of the nicest ladies in the world. I feel lucky I was able to not only meet her in person but spend nearly the whole day with her and her sweet daughter. I am sure it won’t be the last time we are together. We hit it off from the first time we messaged each other on Snapchat and when you read this story you too will see how lovely she is!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #29

I feel super blessed that Yankee Doodle Paddy Guest Blogger Month of LOVE series received more submissions than days in February.  Hence this is Post #29 and it is a fun one too.  The engaging Eric, the fourth man to bravely share his story this month, has a heart pumping tail for you.  And no, that wasn’t a typo.  I said tail, though it is very much like a fairy tale.  However, once you start reading you’ll see there is a tail in the tale!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #26

Love KNOWS no bounds.  I’ll repeat that:  LOVE knows NO bounds!  By that I mean, all of us can experience it. Young or old, strong or weak, men or women, sick or well, feeling high or at our lowest, it doesn’t matter, ‘cuz love knows no BOUNDS.  If you watch commercials around Valentine’s Day they always show this perfectly curated sort of love.  Everyone looks pristine and happy, financially secure (of course, so you can buy those diamonds), and healthy.  However, often it is when we are none of those “Madison Avenue” creations that we need love the most.  Today I am sharing with you two amazing people who have been brave enough to come forward for the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE.  For Post #26 I am sharing the love stories of the beautiful Kerry and the lovely Paul. They have both had a rough go in life. They deal with health issues and yet still continue to love.  Part of that is because they have been shown love to them. When many in society run to the hills when someone suffers with mental illness or a physical disability, Kerry and Paul have angels in their lives to prove, yes LOVE exists!  I will share Kerry’s powerful love story first and let Paul reveal his after. And please, please, read these with a tender heart. Because one day surely we too will need one!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #22

I won a competition!  I was so excited and also so surprised.  But then again you can’t win a competition unless you enter, right?  The competition was being run by a lovely lady I met through Snapchat.  I still didn’t know much about her but I loved her username: thesassysurvivr.  My prize arrived, yippee, but the best gift has been getting to know the amazing lady named Janelle. Wait until you read Guest Blogger #22’s  LOVE story of not only surviving, but of thriving!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #18

Bethany King, Guest Blogger #17, is an amazing friend of mine on Snapchat. She wanted to participate in the month of LOVE last year but they had a lot going on in their family with moving out of state.   I was delighted she agreed to submit a story this year.  She is a steady soul who always has thought provoking commentary on important issues and at the same time is the sweetest, smiliest and friendliest person you’d ever meet.  So without further ado, it’s my honor to share her story….
