Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
Welcome back to Woman Crush Wednesday! My favorite day of the week where I choose a female chef and recreate one of her recipes live on Snapchat. And of course this here is the LOVE story for our one and only gourmet gal! This week’s honoree is the best selling cookery book writer and world famous food blogger Deb Perelman. Her blog Smitten Kitchen has been the gold standard for food bloggers practically since its inception back in 2006. Her prolific posts of incredible sweet and savory foods have ignited flames in the hearts of home cooks from coast to coast! Continue reading
May the 4th Be With You!
This year is like 4th of July 2.0. What I mean by that is, it’s the second year we are in London for this special holiday. Since Americans abroad don’t get this holiday off work, celebrating can be unique. And especially this year, as I am taking Snapchat on a very unique adventure. If you’d like to join in my username is blissbakery. It is a surprise so I won’t say much now. But I will leave you with last year’s post for the day that is in it. There is even a foodie recipe for you, since food is of the utmost importance in your festive fourth of July gathering. Continue reading
Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
While everyone else I know is savoring some sunny weather, it is still chilly and grey here in London. The perfect hot coffee and sweet treat kind of day. Foodie Fieldtrip Friday: Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo (the 5th of May) is celebrated with more hoopla in the United States than in Mexico where the holiday began. Most confuse it with Mexican Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 16th. But for a festive day which is all about winning a war (the Mexicans against the French at the battle of Pueblo) it sure is fun. Especially for someone like me who loves Mexican food, culture, and people! Continue reading
Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
It is so nice to be back on track with my Woman Crush Wednesday series after a couple weeks break. It is the 60th time I have honored a female foodie with a love story here on the blog and a cooking tutorial on Snapchat. Since today is a special day we had to have a special culinary queen. And who better than Julia Child, the groundbreaking chef who is still posthumously inspiring millions of cooks! Continue reading
Recipe: “Free” To Be Banana Loaf
I’ve been under the weather the past few days and even missed my Woman Crush Wednesday cooking tutorial. The first time illness has gotten in the way of my fav day! But luckily today I had just enough energy to bake a banana loaf. And I decided to make it a “free from” variety. No sugar, eggs or dairy. Now it still has gluten, but there’s a reason why! Continue reading
