Guest Blogger Month II: Post #1
It is my honor to publish this LOVE story for the first installment of the Guest Blogger Month series for 2018. I don’t know the exact date I “met” the gorgeous Caterina Salvatori in the virtual world. But we became friends on Snapchat through a mutual friend, who was one of last year’s awesome guest bloggers, Alex. One thing I do know for sure is the day Caterina and I met in person! It was on December 8th, 2017. Hubby and I were on our way to Havana and had a layover in Toronto. Caterina packed up her gorgeous twins and met us at the airport for coffee, chats and most of all some LOVE! So sit back and enjoy Caterina’s LOVE story. Make sure you have some tissue, and let this lovely lady touch your heart the way she does mine! Continue reading
February Guest Blogger Month
As we begin a new month, Yankee Doodle Paddy is also welcoming back one of the most popular series to hit the blogosphere. Last year for the first time ever, during the month of February, I hosted a series of posts with guest bloggers. One guess on the theme? Continue reading
Empathetic Badass
As many of you know, I host a hashtag day each week called #tellthetruththursday Yesterday I spoke about a topic close to my heart. I have been wanting to write a blog post about it for ages. What topic you ask? Sensitivity. Yes, I am sensitive. I am thin skinned and I wear my heart on my sleeve! So much so that I even designed a sweater with hearts literally on the sleeves and is embroidered with “Where do you where YOUR heart?” Continue reading
Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
Today’s Woman Crush Wednesday is coming to you from the U.S.A. I’m here visiting family and enjoying a playcation with my granddaughters. Being back in the country of my birth makes it a perfect time to honor Christina Tosi. Not only is she the 82nd WCW recipient but she is also the creator and chef of Milk Bar. This world famous bakery headquartered in NYC has 8 locations now. With two cookbooks under her belt, her recipes are very American in their roots. But Christina is super innovative in her approach to being a pastry chef. She is a fabulous role model for women in the culinary world and I am so excited to honor her today and re-create one of her recipes here and live on Snapchat. My username is blissbakery if you’d like to come check it out! Continue reading
Until We Meet Again…..
It was an unlikely and unusual way to meet those who would become life long friends. Our three year old daughters were in the same class in preschool. And on the first day of school it was love at first bite. Yep their daughter bit my daughter and the rest is history! Continue reading
In the Name of LOVE for MLK
Today is a National Holiday in America. It is the birthday of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who would have been 89 years old today. His life on earth was too short, having been assassinated at the age of 39 years old. But the Civil Rights Leader’s legacy has continued on inspiring, motivating and teaching others about LOVE. Continue reading
