Long time no cook my friends! I know, between traveling in the USA, the beginning of Lent, and hosting the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE, I haven’t been on to share a recipe in a while. However today all that is about to change. My fav day of the week on the blog and my fav Snapchat episode will collide once again for a Woman Crush Wednesday installment! I will do a live cooking tutorial on Snapchat (username blissbakery) and share a LOVE story for a fabulous female chef! Today’s lucky lady and the 83rd chef to get this honor is Prue Leith!

Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
Today is the 81st episode of Woman Crush Wednesday and you might recognize the honoree. Londoner Sally Butcher is not only well known for her fabulous cookery books, but also her amazing shop in Peckham called Persepolis and the darling cafe that adjoins it. In fact, if you watch my Foodie Fieldtrip Friday segment on my Snapchat (username blissbakery) you won’t be surprised that I have chosen Sally as my WCW. Just two weeks ago I visited and feasted on some of her amazing Persian food. And I purchased a key ingredient for today’s awesome cooking tutorial. Continue reading

Recipe: Waffles Two Ways
Hello from Havana! Sorry to have to miss an opportunity for another Woman Crush Wednesday cooking tutorial. However, Hubby is a juror at a film festival here in Cuba. Specifically the Festival International Del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano. We were lucky to have been in Venice, Italy for the film festival there this summer, which you can read about here. And this one is shaping up to be pretty amazing too. I will share a blog post as soon as possible. Until then, I have a little treat for you! Continue reading
Recipe: Thanksgiving-ish Chicken Dinner
It is no secret that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. And I am an admitted addict of anything containing pumpkin. But there is another “festive fall” ingredient that I’m a massive fan of and that is cranberries! So I thought I would share this recipe for Cranberry Chicken that is always on heavy rotation in our house this time of year when fresh cranberries are available in the stores. Continue reading
Pumpkin Recipe Roundup!
My LOVE of all things pumpkin is well documented. I know I am not alone. I just read a blog post titled 20 Signs Your Pumpkin Addiction is Out of Control! It actually makes me look tame! In fact, while I have posted pumpkin recipes on here before, this is the first time I have ever put all ten of my fav pumpkin recipes together on one post. My little Halloween treat for you! I don’t need to say much else, because, well, I just want to gaze at the photos and drool! And I hope your taste buds get tantalized too! Continue reading
Recipe: Pumpkin Patch Salad
I have the best memories of going to the pumpkin patch with my kids when they were little. Picking out the perfect sized pumpkin and then eagerly carving them were all part of the Halloween festivities. Food is always a big part of the tradition, but often it’s not the most healthy. That’s okay to have a treat every now and again. But what if there was a delicious healthy salad that would pump up the jam in your party? This post will introduce you to the newest member of my pumpkin recipe arsenal!
