Guest Blogger Month II: Post #14

Yep, it is here! The day the entire world says is the day of LOVE! While I am hosting a month long blogger series during February, I am trying to extend this global phenom with love for another 27 days. But in my world, love is each and every day and it is a blessing to celebrate! Whether you have a “romantic” partner or not, LOVE is what sustains us. Self love or love of family and friends, even pets as we have seen in some of our guest posts so far. Today’s Post #14 is the perfect LOVE story for Valentine’s Day. Some might even call it Galentine’s Day. When you read Ava Graham’s post you will see why.

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #13

I know many of us have had some exposure to autism. But not many of us have had to live with it day in and day out.  From afar it might not seem like fodder for a blog post on LOVE. But actually it is just the element that makes love appear and grow.  It certainly has in Kassandra’s heart and home. It is time for Guest Blogger Post #13 and may your heart appreciate her perspective on what “normal” is really like!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #12

I realize this is Post #12 of the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE, but I could also title this one Monday Motivation.  Why?  Because today’s author is Nicola Feustel and she is one of the most motivational people I have ever met.  Well, technically we haven’t met in person yet, but we have a date in our diaries. She too lives in London and is a personal fitness coach, with emphasis on Body Positivity and Health at Every Size.  One of the things that is important in the BoPo movement is honesty and acceptance. When you read Nicola’s LOVE story you will get the sense that this woman embodies both those words.

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #11

Olivia Kirwin is a force be reckoned with . Because she is a force of LOVE! Always smiling in spite of every reason not to, but her spirit is one of those with a deep strength and deep faith. I am honored to have my dear friend sharing a LOVE story here during the Guest Blogger Month. This Irish lass is someone to look to for encouragement if you have hard knocks. Cuz someone like Olivia will take the knocks, turn them on their head, add in some laughs and instrumental accompaniment and before you know it, it has turned into a symphony of joy!

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #10

We have another face returning to the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE! Yes the incredible Alex Slye is back with her Post #10 and as always Alex has a way with words.  Never have I met someone willing to pour out her truth in such a brave way. She is relentless with this. But as she works in a field that demands honesty in order to help people improve their lives, Alex walks the walk!  I love her writing style and could read her missives all day. She has a blog as well and so I feel honored to have her share her life and her LOVE story on Yankee Doodle Paddy.  Continue reading

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #9

TGIF and welcome back to the Guest Blogger Month of LOVE series on Yankee Doodle Paddy. One of the cool things about love is that we can all learn from each other. Case in point, today’s Post #9 is from the lovely Vanessa who is only 12 years old. Last year there were two guest posts from young people (Alannah 15 years old and Hannah Rose 8 years old) as well. In society, people think it is the adults who teach the younger people. But I often find I learn more from young people. They are wise and loving and giving. Today, Vanessa is giving us a treat with a poem she wrote with LOVE for someone very special to her.

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #8

As I mentioned before, last year there were 33 Guest Bloggers for the Month of LOVE series. When I invited folks to share love stories again this year, I hoped some who shared last year might come back for a return visit. And so I was delighted when my dear friend Nicola from Simply Homemade Blog messaged to say she had a story she wanted us all to hear. I read it and boy was I in a flood of tears.  It is beautiful and it is an honor to publish it on Yankee Doodle Paddy. Continue reading
