How to start a LOVEolution? There is no handbook on that my friends. But as I shared on February 1st, this is the month of LOVE so if it is going to happen, this might be as good a time as any for it to transpire. Because our love stories are so unique, just as our own fingerprints are, we can learn from all of them. Yet often people aren’t encouraged to share them publicly. So we let modern culture dictate to us what love is. And when we compare our love to what we see in magazines we might not appreciate it as much. Continue reading

Guest Blogger Month: Post #3
While this month is the first time I’ve hosted a guest blogger series I did write a piece once as a guest blogger. It was for the blog A Penny For Them. I wrote about my favorite theme, LOVE! The fabulous Penny was on holiday and invited bloggers to post while she was traveling. It was great to meet other people sharing all sorts of topics. I’m not on holidays, but I thought by hearing different perspectives it would be a wonderful way to gain new insight on the subject of LOVE! And though I don’t have much, I still like to share whatever I have, including now this little corner of the internet called Yankee Doodle Paddy. Continue reading
Guest Blogger Month: Post #2
It’s day two of Yankee Doodle Paddy’s Guest Blogger series. As I said when I introduced this concept on here LOVE is the universal language. And the conversation can’t be in a vacuum it needs to be out there among all of us! So here’s another chance for a guest blogger to share a story of LOVE! Continue reading
Guest Blogger Month: Post #1
For the first installment of Guest Blogger Month we have a piece written by my Hubby! As I mentioned yesterday, these stories can be about anything, including a favorite pair of boots. So long as it ties in with the LOVE theme. Well, this is a story about boots AND love even if the word ‘love’ isn’t typed among all the others. Yet you can still feel it! Continue reading
Lost and Found with St. Anto
I haven’t talked about my Grandpa O’Neill in a while. I figured I’d tell you a little story. Today is the feast of St. Anthony, but not the one in my story. Hey Anthony is a common name even for saints. But it has to do with sentimental keepsakes gone missing and relics. Can you see where this is going? Continue reading
Cuppa Critics
It’s not everyday I can get my Hubby to appear on Snapchat. But last night he joined me for “Cuppa Critics” where we shared our take on eleven fabulous films. I was given the “screeners”, as the are called, by Screen Actors Guild to watch before I vote in the upcoming SAG awards. Though I haven’t acted since switching careers to the food industry full time when we moved to Dublin in 2008, I am still a proud card carrying member. I started acting as a child and in fact have my pension with Screen Actors Guild. So I take my privilige of voting in this prestigious awards seriously.
Sweden’s Smorgasbord of Life
The last couple of months Yankee Doodle Paddy has been blessed with travel. Though I have posted it on social media, I am finally getting around to sharing here on the blog. A little Tuesday Travel Treat for you! And the country I want to tell you about first is Sweden. While Hubby and I were in Stockholm once before for two nights back in 2009, I’ve always wanted to return. It is such a fascinating city! And since my Hubby is an American of Swedish ancestry it is fun to see him light up in his “motherland”! Recently he had to be there for work and I decided to tag along. And boy was I glad I did!
