Guest Blogger Month III: Post #5

When I see lemons, I always think of Guest Blogger #5. We became friends on Snapchat and bonded over our love of cooking. But just as I am a fan of hearts, Tammy E is all about the lemons. This super creative and amazingly supportive lady really makes her social media accounts look beautiful. But the most beautiful thing about those accounts is Tammy herself. A stunning lady inside and out, she is so humble about her talent as an artistic person. And her food snaps always make me hungry. But today I am hungry for her take on LOVE! Continue reading

Happy Third Blog Birthday!

Three years have come and gone. They would have anyway. The days, weeks and months pass by on our calendar. The question is, what do we have to show for it? Have you ever stopped to think about it? That is why I love to recognize milestones, birthdays, holidays etc. These moments punctuate our lives for a reason. They give us a chance to take stock and see where we have come, and please God, where we have yet to go AND grow!  Much has happened in my life during these three years. Some good, some bad. But today, I am going to highlight an area where I have had an influence and that is with this little old blog called Yankee Doodle Paddy!  Continue reading

Too Old

We’ve all heard it before: “I’m too old to do this” or “You’re too old for that” or “We shouldn’t do it ‘cuz we are too old”.  What is your take?  Do you think being too old is an excuse for things? And what age is too old?  Well I asked this question to my Snapfam commUNITY and got an overwhelming response.  Continue reading

Guest Blogger Month II: Post #1

It is my honor to publish this LOVE story for the first installment of the Guest Blogger Month series for 2018.   I don’t know the exact date I “met” the gorgeous Caterina Salvatori in the virtual world.  But we became friends on Snapchat through a mutual friend, who was one of last year’s awesome guest bloggers, Alex.  One thing I do know for sure is the day Caterina and I met in person!  It was on December 8th, 2017.  Hubby and I were on our way to Havana and had a layover in Toronto.  Caterina packed up her gorgeous twins and met us at the airport for coffee, chats and most of all some LOVE!  So sit back and enjoy Caterina’s LOVE story.  Make sure you have some tissue, and let this lovely lady touch your heart the way she does mine! A Most Grateful Challenge 2017

After the success of last year’s #30daysofgratitude challenge I had to bring it back again this year.  I shared on here before how much I loved the November to Remember 2016 Snapchallenge.  But I wasn’t the only one.  Sharing a daily gratitude on Snapchat made others feel part of a commUNITY and blessings appeared to multiply.  Quite literally the number of people involved this year did in fact multiply!  Even though some joined in part of the way through November that was okay!  Cuz it’s never too late to appreciate!  Continue reading

Why

Why. If you are a stickler on punctuation you’ll notice I didn’t put a question mark after my why. Why? Because I wasn’t asking a question until just that last why.  I was announcing what I want to talk about today, which is the topic why.  I feel like this word ‘why’ is a dying art form.  When we are kids we ask why all the time, and for some moms (not me) the word drives them up a wall.  But somehow kids have it right.  They want to get into the center of the golden circle of every topic on life.  That golden circle is the why.  Continue reading
