October 19th. I’ve talked about this day with you all before. It is my mom’s birthday. I poured my heart out in a post called A Moment of Silence the first year of this blog. And last year on this day I shared a totally different scenario. I was asked to speak at the NWED (National Women’s Enterprise Day) in County Galway, Ireland. So how to recognize her birthday this year, when we still don’t know after 27 years whether my mom is dead or alive? Keep Calm AND Silent Please? Continue reading

Cuppa Critics: Venice Film Festival
Back in January Hubby and I shared a fun movie episode called Cuppa Critics on my Snapchat (username blissbakery). We reviewed 11 flims that I received as Awards Season Screeners. We had a blast and I also posted a story on here as well if you’d like a peek (click here for link) Continue reading
The C Word
You have likely heard of the “C Word”. And it probably conjures up a reaction. For some it might mean one thing and for others it’s something else. Today I would like to share with you a different kind of “C Word” and I believe this one is destructive as well. Continue reading
Recipe: Woman Crush Wednesday
Welcome back to Woman Crush Wednesday! My favorite day of the week where I choose a female chef and recreate one of her recipes live on Snapchat. And of course this here is the LOVE story for our one and only gourmet gal! This week’s honoree is the best selling cookery book writer and world famous food blogger Deb Perelman. May the 4th Be With You!
This year is like 4th of July 2.0. What I mean by that is, it’s the second year we are in London for this special holiday. Since Americans abroad don’t get this holiday off work, celebrating can be unique. And especially this year, as I am taking Snapchat on a very unique adventure. If you’d like to join in my username is blissbakery. It is a surprise so I won’t say much now. But I will leave you with last year’s post for the day that is in it. There is even a foodie recipe for you, since food is of the utmost importance in your festive fourth of July gathering. Continue reading
Crazy for Canada
Having lived in America most of my life, I’ve been lucky enough to travel north to Canada on a few occasions. The first was to Montreal in 1987 to film a Suzuki Samurai commercial. I loved what I saw of the city but didn’t get to tour around too much because of work. The second time I visited Canada was to take my son to an ice hockey camp in Logan Lakes. I remember it was gorgeous and woodsy. And my third visit was with Hubby to Vancouver, a very hip and diverse culture with stunning natural beauty. So I was delighted to have the opportunity to return to Canada and soak up as much as I could in one week. Continue reading
My Bite of the Big Apple
Though I left New York over a week ago, I wanted to post a round up of the visit there before too much time passes. Having lived and worked in New York for three years and to go back there again as a tourist was a unique experience unto itself. While it is a city with a personality like no other, it is steeped in history and rich in culture. Yet it is always changing and there is vitality in its newness. So I visited places I had been before and saw some spots for the first time. And all of it was with massive gratitude. Continue reading
